INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Gifford Aquatic Center is hosting a kick off to spring Super Kid Triathlon for ages 3-14 coming on March 31. Registration for the event runs from March 1 through 29.
The Super Kid Triathlon consists of a series of events: swimming, bicycling and running. This is a fun, non-competitive event to introduce kids to triathlons.
Bicycle helmets are mandatory and must be worn for the entire bike ride. Participants 6 and under may use any type of bike, including bikes with training wheels. Participants 9 and up are required to use a wide tire bike, mountain or BMX type, because the trail is on grass and a dirt road.
For the swimming portion, participants 6 and under may use an approved flotation device. The cost is $10 per child. Please call the Aquatic Center for the start time for your child’s age group.
Registration begins on March 2 and ends on March 29. There will be NO “day of” registration. Those interested can register at the Indian River County Recreation Department, Gifford Aquatic Center or North County Aquatic Center.
