Local celebrity endorses Dancing with Vero’s Stars

VERO BEACH — Actress Lauren Chapin, who played Kitten in the 1950s hit Father’s Knows Best, a current resident of Vero Beach and one of the three judges in this season’s Dancing with Vero’s Stars, recently visited the studios of The Breeze, 93.7 to endorse the event via a Public Service Announcement.

The radio station, media sponsor for the four year old event, welcomed Lauren to their studios for the taping and plans to air the PSA in the next several weeks to help promote the event to be held the evening of Saturday, March 10 at The Waxlax Center at Saint Edward’s School in Vero Beach.

Other judges this year include Lance Sexton for his fourth go-around. Sexton has owned and operated Melbourne Ballroom for 16 years ago and is widely known as a teacher and competitive dancer.

Completing the judges table is one of Vero Beach’s own stars, Mark Philip Wygonik, known for both his visual and performing arts experience as well as being actively involved in area arts and theater organizations as a choreographer, set designer and director. He is co-founder of FW Productions, Inc. producing cutting edge, cirque-style live productions for cruise ships and casino showrooms.

Dancing with Vero’s Stars will benefit the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition, which develops, evaluates and funds a full spectrum of services to support pregnant women’s health, baby’s health and families parenting young children.
