VERO BEACH — Brenda Lloyd and Joe Robinson, co-chairs of the 4th annual Dancing with Vero’s Stars, have officially announced two emcees for this year’s event. The event will be held on Saturday evening, March 10, at the Waxlax Center at Saint Edward’s School in Vero Beach and benefits the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition.
Gracing the stage as male emcee for the 4th year is Hamp Elliott, radio host of 93.7 The Breeze, from 10a.m. – 3p.m. Monday through Friday. Elliott is a veteran broadcaster on the Treasure Coast for over 30 years and in 2011 emceed the first “Dancing event with Martin County stars.
“I am a big fan of the ABC version and love the opportunity to play the role of Tom Bergeron, the host of the TV show,” Elliott explained.
“I will do my best to duplicate his professional performance; but most of all, I am proud to be involved with an event that does so much for the community in supporting the Healthy Start Coalition,” said Elliott.
The female counterpart to ABC’s co-host Brooke Burke Charvet is new to the Dancing with the Vero’s Stars stage this year. Welcome to Dana Daniels, co-host with Geoff Moore, of The Morning Show on 93.7 The Breeze, 5:30-10 a.m. daily, and co-emcee of “Dancing” with Elliott. This is the first year the event will have two emcees at the helm.
“I’ve been talking up Dancing on The Morning Show for a while now and along with our show’s listeners, am getting very excited about the event”, said Daniels.
“Like Hamp, I, too, am a fan of the ABC version and am thrilled to be a part of the local event as well as helping the Healthy Start Coalition,” Daniels added.
