Francis Braun Kaczka, 50, died Jan. 20, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in McKeesport, Pa., coming to Vero Beach in 1989 from Hawaii.
He served in the Marine Corps.
He was a personal trainer for the Indrio Gym and Fitness Center in Fort Pierce and Gold’s Gym in Waikiki, Hawaii.
He was a member of the Vero Masonic Lodge and of the Baha’i faith.
Survivors include his parents, John and Elizabeth Kaczka, of Glassport, Pa.; brother, Anthony Kaczka, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and sisters, Connie Slattery, of Alexandria, Va., Christine Scaglione, of Euless, Texas, and Mary Yuhas, of Glassport.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Spinal Injury Association, Shepherd Center, 2020 Peachtree Road N.W., Atlanta, GA 30309.
Services: Final arrangements will be at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home in Glassport.
Interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Pennsylvania.
A local service will be at a later date.
