Manfred Tetzlaff died Jan. 14, 2012, at the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Insterburg, Germany, and lived in Vero Beach since 1968.
He worked as an electrician for the U.S. State Department and owned the Surf ‘n Sand motel, Vero Beach, until 1991.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Tetzlaff; daughter, Monica Tetzlaff, of South Bend, Ind.; and one grandchild.
Memorial contributions be made to the American Friends Service Committee, AFSC Development, 1501 Cherry St., Philadelphia, PA 19102.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 20 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with Derrick West of First Baptist Church officiating.
