Christian Business Asso. Donates $15,000 to 13 nonprofits

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A total of $15,000 was donated by the Vero Beach Christian Business Association to 13 local Christian nonprofits at its December 15th luncheon. The funds represent dues from more than a hundred members, bringing total financial contributions to over $90,000 since 2004.

Organizations receiving funds this year are: Breath of Heaven, CareNet, Christian FM, CrossLife Counseling, Framework Productions, Harvest Food & Outreach Center, Next Level Productions, Salvation Army, The Source, Teen Challenge, Victory Kids, Women’s Refuge and Youth for Christ.

The annual “Celebration of Giving” luncheon was the culmination of two months of reaching out to local charities, including a Thanksgiving food drive for Harvest Food & Outreach Center, a Christmas toy drive for Youth Guidance, and ringing the bell at the red kettle for the Salvation Army.

A 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, VBCBA is an equipping and networking ministry for Christian businesspeople. The organization holds monthly luncheon meetings on the fourth Thursday of the month at The Plaza, 884 17th Street, Vero Beach.

Luncheon meetings are open to both members and non-members.
