Vincent William Atherton, 83, died Jan. 23, 2012, at the Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland.
He was born in Astoria, N.Y., and lived in Sebastian since 1999, coming from Jacksonville.
He was an advertising account executive with Golf Magazine, BOAC and TDI.
He served in the Army.
He was a graduate of Hofstra University.
He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
He was a member of Pelham Country Club, Winged Food Country Club and Sawgrass Country Club.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Butler and Susan Reed, both of Sebastian; son, James Atherton, of Vero Beach; brother, Millard Atherton, of Valley Stream, N.Y.; sister, Kathleen Betts, of Valley Stream; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Atherton; and brother, Lawrence Atherton.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Jan. 27 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian.
