On Saturday, Jan. 7 the Indian River Symphonic Association will present a concert by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. This accomplished orchestra will be under the baton of world-renowned violinist Pinchas Zukerman. Maestro Zukerman will also perform as violin soloist for Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D major.
The program for the evening will consist of:
Beethoven – Egmont Overture, Op. 84
Beethoven – Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61
Elgar – Enigma Variations for Orchestra, Op. 36
A limited number of season tickets are available for the remaining six concerts, including the Jan. 7 concert, at the reduced price of $220. The remaining concert schedule will include:
January 15: Brevard Symphony Orchestra Pops Concert
January 28: Tchaikovsky St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra
February 11: Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra, with pianist Garrick Ohlsson
March 13: Nordwest Deutsche Philharmonic Orchestra
April 15: Brevard Symphony Orchestra
All concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Church of Vero Beach. Individual tickets are $50 each.
For those who are unable to get tickets in advance of a concert, returned tickets are almost always available at the door on the evening of the concert.
