Kenneth R. Murphy, Jr., 52, died Oct. 30, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Keene, N.H., and moved to Vero Beach 37 years ago, coming from Tennessee.
He worked 26 years with Kmart in Vero Beach.
He volunteered with Toys for Tots during the holiday season.
He graduated from Tabernacle Baptist School in 1978 and the United Electronics Institute of Tampa in 1984.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sarah M. and Gordon Mills, of Vero Beach; and sisters, Cindi Murphy, Sandy Daniels, Julie Greer and Susan Mills, all of Vero Beach.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth R. Murphy Sr.

Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 5 p.m. Nov. 3 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
