Celebrate holidays and conservation at Sea Turtle Soiree

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Celebrate the holidays with Sea Turtle Conservancy at the 2011 Sea Turtle Soiree, 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. Join us for an elegant evening of fine art, music and cuisine in honor of a stellar year of sea turtle conservation and stewardship.

The event takes place at the Barrier Island Center, 8385 S Hwy A1A in Melbourne Beach, two miles north of the Sebastian Inlet. The Barrier Island Center is part of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, which stretches from Golden Sands County Park in Indian River County to Coconut Point Park in Melbourne.

Sea Turtle Soiree will feature live music, wine and craft beer tastings with keepsake glasses, hors d’oeuvres and exhibits by local artists. Proceeds from the sale of artwork will benefit sea turtle conservation. Limited number of tickets available, so be sure to buy yours early.

Tickets are $45 adults, $25 children.
