Philip B. Riner, 83, Vero Beach

Philip B. Riner, 83, died Oct. 10, 2011, at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.

He was born in South Bend, Ind., and moved to Vero Beach in 1984, coming from St. Louis, Mo.

He was the advertising manager for Lincoln St. Louis.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.

He was a graduate of Indiana University, where he was a member of ATO fraternity.

He was a member and former president of the Automotive Advertisers Council.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lois A. Riner, of Vero Beach; son, Todd Riner, of Denver; daughter, Nancy Bertelsmeier, of Kansas City, Kan.; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Interment with Naval military honors will be at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 17 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
