Ride for Recovery Poker Run Nov. 6 will benefit The Source

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Mark your calendars for Sunday Nov. 6 for the 20th Annual Ride for Recovery Poker Run to benefit The Source in Vero Beach. Poker run is set to start and finish at Kiwanis Hobart Park, 5350 77th St., Vero Beach.

First bike out is at 10 a.m. and last bike out is at Noon. Rain or shine, be prepared.

Bikes will make four stops: Indrio School House in Ft. Pierce, Mulligan’s in Vero Beach, Newport Club in Vero Beach, and Wabasso Beach.

This event is not just for motorcycle fans – car owners are also invited to participate. The event will feature 50/50 raffle prizes, family games, and food. Trophies will be awarded for best/worst poker hand, slow race, balloon toss, and winnie bite games. Everyone is welcome!

Entry fee is only $10 and it includes poker run, food, family fun, picnic area, playground, and games. Covered dishes appreciated.

The Source is a Christian outreach and resource center for the homeless and at-risk. The doors of The Source open six days a week to provide people in need with nourishment for the body and soul.

The ministry offers daily hot meals, an emergency food pantry, clothing, showers, counseling, support groups, emergency cold weather shelter, and a host of other services. It is located at 1015 Commerce Ave., Vero Beach.
