<em>Bringing Unity in the Community</em> <strong>What: </strong>Juneteenth Celebration, sponsored by T&T Community Enhancement Organization in Action <strong>When: </strong>10 a.m. - 4 p.m. this Saturday, June 21, 2025 <strong>Where: </strong>Victor Hart Sr. Community Enhancement Complex, 4715 43rd. Ave., Gifford, and Indian River Gifford Aquatic Center, 4895 43rd Ave., Gifford. <strong>Entertainment: </strong>Junkanoo Band from Miami playing drums and Caribbean music, speeches on Emancipation Day in Florida and Juneteenth, a mime performance, book giveaways, meet and greet with local published authors, 18 vendors including food trucks, face painting and more. <strong>Gifford Aquatic Center: </strong>There will be free admission for the first 200 people, said Gustavo Vergara, assistant director of operations and programs for the Indian River County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by a parent. Those over 13 must sign a liability waiver. Lifeguards will be on duty. "Kids can go to the park, enjoy themselves and then go swimming," said Teddy Floyd, co-founder of T&T Community Enhancement Organization in Action. "I want to send a huge shoutout to the Indian River County commissioners for letting us do this. We're trying to keep our community together." <strong>Booth costs: </strong>$50.
