Charles Joseph “Charlie” Bradshaw, 82, died Sept. 10, 2011, at his home in Vero Beach.
Born on March 30, 1929, in Memphis, Tenn., he was the son of Frank and Claire (Dickens) Bradshaw.
He attended Central High School in Memphis and graduated from Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia in 1951.
Bradshaw moved to Vero Beach from Miami Shores in 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Oliver Bradshaw; his four children; John (Alicia), of Greenville, S.C.; Charlie, Jr., of Boynton Beach, Joe (Laura), of Vero Beach and Arline (John) Mead, of Cary, N.C.; two step-daughters, Rachael and Chloe Powlas, of Vero Beach and nine grandchildren; Adam, Christopher and Spencer Bradshaw, John, Charlie and Joe Mead, Kurt, Andrew and Ainsley Bradshaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Frank and sister Ann Portlock.
A memorial service will be held at the Community Church, 1901 23rd Street, Vero Beach on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at 2 p.m..
