New Snow Birds Book Club formed at North County Library

SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian Book Discussion Group has met at the North Indian River County Library for many years, but has been limited to fifteen members. A second group recently established will allow more people to participate.

The first meeting of the Snow Birds Book Club is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to Noon. Subsequent meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month through next April.

Elizabeth Craig, a former English teacher from New Hampshire, will be leading the discussions which will be held in the library meeting room. She is a member of the original group, but wants to provide another group for those who have not been able to join in the past. She is a “Snow Bird” – thus the schedule and the choice of names. You do not need to be a “Snow Bird” to join.

Some of the books the group will be discussing are Little Bee, by Chris Cleve, The Way the Crow Flies, by Ann Marie MacDonald, and the Autobiography of Mark Twain, volume 1. Discussion questions will be available for participants at the Reference Desk in the Library prior to each month’s meeting.

To register for the group call the Library at (772) 589-1355, extension 4519 or stop by the Reference Desk.

The North Indian River County Library is located at 1001 Sebastian Boulevard, three miles west of U.S. 1 in Sebastian. For more information about this or other programs, services and materials available at the Library call (772) 589-1355 or visit the Library website at www.sebastianlibrary.com.
