Alice W. Millikan, 95, died Aug. 17, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
She was born in Illinois and lived in Vero Beach since 1957, coming from Ferndale, Mich.
She had been a schoolteacher for the Indian River County School system.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Vero Beach.
Survivors include her daughters, Delana Aiton of Simpsonville, S.C., Gloria Cooke of Stone Mountain, Ga., Cheryl Millikan of Vero Beach and Jill Taber of North Carolina; and son, Brent Millikan of New Smyrna Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Millikan; sister, Hazel Giltner; and brother, J. F. Wiedman.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Aug. 20 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
