Irene A. Reichert, 100, of Vero Beach, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Reichert was born Sept. 12, 1910, in York Springs, Pa., and moved to Vero Beach in 1969 from East Berlin, Pa.
She had been a seamstress prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Central Assembly of God in Vero Beach, the United Church of Christ and the Social Club both of New Oxford, Pa., and the Women of the Moose in Hanover, Pa.
Survivors include her son Robert Reichert and daughter Mae Decker, both of Vero Beach; brother Charles Raymond Sheaffer, Jr., of Cocoa Beach; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Reichert and sister Dessie Heiner.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with Pastor Buddy Tipton officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Ft. Pierce.
