Royce Nevell Watlington, 77, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, June 23 at VNA Hospice House.
He was born July 3, 1933, in Dyer County, Tenn., and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 2001, coming from Winston Salem, N.C.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War
Royce was a retired gate agent for Piedmont Airlines.
He attended Our Savior Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his companion, John Johnson, of Vero Beach; half-brother, Thomas Dwain Arnold, of Memphis, Tenn.; sister, Susie Haines, of Vero Beach.
A celebration of life was held at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 2 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jack Diehl officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date in Clemons, NC.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
