Miriam Lubitow Lee Plans, 95, died May 14, 2011, at VNA Hospice House.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 31 years, coming from New York City.
She worked for the U.S. Government as an editor and was a published author.
She was a member of the National Pen Women’s Association.
She also was a graduate of George Washington University.
Survivors include her son, Simon Bennett Lee, of Vero Beach; brother, Irving Lubitow, of Rochester, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Meyer Lubitow.

A memorial service will be at a later date.
