Edward James McClelland, 88, died May 13, 2011, in Vero Beach.
He was born in Philadelphia and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Boca Raton.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a Philadelphia firefighter and later was chief of security for Indian River Estates in Vero Beach.
He was a member of the Community Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Melba McClelland; son, Scott McClelland, of Pompano Beach; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth McClelland.
