Michael Burger, Jr., 80, of Vero Beach, died March 13, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
Born in Yugoslavia, Burger had lived in Vero Beach for 39 years, coming from Mansfield, Ohio.
He was a machinist with Piper Aircraft in their Vero Beach facility for more than 20 years before retiring in 1992. He then returned to the new Piper facility and became the facility’s tour guide until 2001.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Helene; one son, Arthur Burger (Kathy), of Vero Beach; two step-daughters, Maria D. Sneed (Charles), of Vero Beach and Brigitte M. Abramczyk, of Morenci, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Michaela Montowski.
Services and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family from the Strunk Funeral Home & Crematory of Vero Beach.
