Gilbert Maurice Boyer, 73, died Feb. 2, 2011, at VNA Hospice House.
He was born in Central Falls, R.I., and lived in Vero Beach for 13 years, coming from Cumberland, R.I.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War and retired after 20 years.
He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church of Vero Beach and the American Legion in Rhode Island.
Survivors include wife of 29 ½ years, Mae Boyer, of Vero Beach; sons, Robert Boyer, of Frederick, Md., Mark Boyer, of Massachusetts and Ron Reagan, of Johnston, R.I.; daughters, Jo-Anne Boyer, of Pawtucket, R.I., and Karen Wagner, of Cumberland; sister, Lillian Boyer, of Central Falls; brother, Robert Boyer, of Naples, Maine; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Boyer; sister, Pauline Boyer; and one grandchild.
Services will be at a later date in Rhode Island.
