VERO BEACH — On Saturday, January 29 the Indian River Symphonic Association will present a concert by the Opole, Philharmonic of Poland. Under the direction of Boguslaw Dawidow, Music Director and Conductor, the orchestra will bring to Vero Beach an exciting selection of symphonic music. While this orchestra has performed in many international settings since 1960, this its first tour in the United States. Piano soloist Evgeni Mikhailov, a prizewinner of many international competitions, has performed as a soloist with such orchestras as Deutsche Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Russian National Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic and the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, to name a few. He will perform Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1.
The program for the evening will include:
Mozart Overture to “Die Zauberflote”
Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 11
Beethoven Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55
The performance will begin at 7:30 PM, at the Community Church of Vero Beach. Tickets are available, priced at $50 each.
