Irene W. Crandall, 84, died Dec. 14, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Bergen, Norway, grew up in Prospect, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach since 1976, coming from Bethany, Conn.
She, her husband and her parents ran Ivar’s Store in Bethany for more than 20 years.
She worked at the Southbury Training School as a purchasing agent and worked for the Chamber of Commerce in Vero Beach.
She was a member of the Sons of Norway in Connecticut and Florida.
Survivors include her fiancé of 20 years, Ole Tvede, of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Crandall; sisters, Henny Hermance and Ruth W. Loring; and brother, Ralph Weloy, of Connecticut.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be in spring.
