Charles H. Lavin, 67, of Vero Beach, died Dec. 28, 2010, at his home.
Born in Miami, he had been a resident of Vero Beach for 41 years coming from Tavares.
Active in the banking community in Vero Beach for more than 30 years, he was the founding president of Indian River National Bank.
He was a veteran, serving in the United State Army.
Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer (John) L. Ogonoski, of Vero Beach, Sonia (Jeff) J. Lavin, of Jacksonville, and Melissa (Bjorn) K. Boman, of Vero Beach; one brother, John (Pat) Lavin, of Buffalo, N.Y.; his companion, Ann Cappelen, of Vero Beach; and five grandchildren, Devron, Marcus, Abigail, Ramey, & Reagan.
He was predeceased by his wife of 29 years, Shirley F. Lavin, who passed in 1998.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at 5:30 p.m. at The Plaza, 884 17th St., Vero Beach. (parking available at Strunk Funeral Home).
