Kevin R. Keating, 70, died Dec. 20, 2010, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., to the late Stanley and Beatrice (Shirley) Keating.
He has lived in Vero Beach for 22 years, coming from Westport, Conn.
He graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School (“Fairfield Prep.”) and the College of the Holy Cross.
He served his country as a naval officer during the Vietnam War.
Keating spent his career on Wall St., where he worked for over 40 years.
Survivors include his beloved and devoted wife of 49 years, Carol Anne; his brother, Dr. Stanley J. Keating, Jr. and his wife Pat, of Simsbury, Conn., two nephews and a niece, and by his brother-in-law Kevin M. Moran, of Fairfield, Conn.
He was a loving father to his five cherished children: Kevin R. Keating, Jr., of Palm Beach Gardens; Timothy J. Keating, of Cherry Hills Village, Colo.; Michael J. Keating, of Williamsburg, Va.; Beth A. Keating- Aracena, of Harrisonburg, Va.; and Kathleen M. Keating, of Greensboro, N.C.
He treasured and adored his grandchildren: Katie, Rex, twins Jack and Ryan, and Eliza.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA / Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960, or a charity of your choice.
Private family services will be at a later date.
