Alyce Jeanne Davis, 87, died Nov. 18, 2010, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Oak Park, Ill., and lived in Vero Beach since 1945.
She served as a nurse for the Navy during World War II.
She was a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary of Indian River Medical Center and as a nurse at Vero Beach High School.
She was a member of Gamma Master Chapter Beta Sigma Phi of Vero Beach.
Survivors include her daughters, Lydia Douglas, of Vero Beach, and Lillian Jodie Snapp, of Sebastian; sister, Marge Alger, of Zephyrhills; brother, Dick Meyer, of Hammond, Ind.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.
