Ralph Lindsey, 88, died Nov. 24, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Thomas County, Ga., raised near Tifton, Ga., and lived in Vero Beach for 64 years.
He served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War ll.
He was a member and past president of The Florida Citrus Production Manager’s Association, a member of the Indian River Citrus League, Florida Citrus Mutual, Indian River County Board of Adjustment, and Indian River County Citrus Advisory Committee.
He was a proud member of the “Quiet Birdmen.”
He was a member and lifetime Deacon at First Baptist Church of Vero Beach, and chairman of the Ushers and Greeters for 52 years.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; son, Bobby Lindsey, of Vero Beach; daughters, Patty Hayes and Jean Lindsey, both of Vero Beach; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at First Baptist Church Vero Beach, Florida. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at First Baptist Church Vero Beach, Florida.
