Josephine Paladino, 102, died Sept. 6, 2010, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach since 2003, coming from Astoria, N.Y. Before retirement, she was a seamstress in the New York Garment District. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Astoria and the Third Order of St. Francis.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Paladino, of Naples, Fla.; daughters, Patricia Mezzina, of Vero Beach, and Frances Nagy, of Astoria; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paladino, in 2002.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Sept. 9 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
Mrs. Paladino will be transferred to the Morisco Funeral Home in Astoria for interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery in East Elmhurst, N.Y.
