Donald McCormick, 78, of Sebastian, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at the Sebastian River Medical Center.
McCormick was born Oct. 4, 1931, in Newark, Del., and moved to Sebastian 20 years ago from Cecil County, Md. He was the superintendent at Henkels & McCoy in Bluebell, Pa., and owner of D&J General Contractors in Cecil County. McCormick was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army, a lifetime member of the Moose, a member of the Malabar Country Club and the Sebastian Golf Course.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; sons Ricky, Rodney and Herman; daughter Deborah, brothers John, Charles, Robert and Harry; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Ruth Anne and Dorie, and brother James.
A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, at the Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian. Reception and Moose services 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Micco.
