Floyd F. Edie, 96, died Aug. 5, 2010 at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Port Huron, Mich., and lived in Vero Beach for 29 years coming from Wyoming, Ohio. Edie was a graduate of Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich. He worked for the Prestolite Corporation for 40 years before his retirement in 1976.
He was a member of The Community Church, Vero Beach.
Edie was a volunteer for VNA Hospice for 10 years and a member of the Metalics Club, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Survivors include his son, James Edie, of Lancaster, Ohio; daughter, Nancy Hattery, of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Shirley Edie, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Charles Edie, of Rochester, Mich.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Edie was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Edie; son, Floyd F. Edie, Jr. and daughter, Marilyn Bliss.
