Wade J. Smith, 55, of Vero Beach died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Indian River Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 3, 1954, in Buffalo, N.Y. and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 40 years, coming from Haines City, Fla. Smith worked in the construction business as a finish carpenter. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife Jacqueline Smith; daughters, Jessica Smith, of Vero Beach, and Erin Goranson, of Apopka, Fla.; mother and step-father, Audrey and Herbert Childs, of Wauchula, Fla.; sister, Leslie Lambert, of Wauchula, Fla., and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
