Stephen Kay Stringfellow, 67, Vero Beach

Stephen Kay Stringfellow, 67, died July 23, 2010, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.

He was born in Emporium, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach coming from Hollywood, Fla. He worked with Treasure Coast Pools, Vero Beach. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam and was a member of Italian American Club, Vero Beach.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Stringfellow; son, Brian (Stephanie) Stringfellow, of Carlsbad, Calif.; daughter, Karen (Joe) Zazzera, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; brothers, Glenn Stanley Stringfellow, of Rochester, N.Y., David Orvis Stringfellow, of Hamburg, N.Y., Crist Jenkins Stringfellow, of Mesquite, Nev.; grandson, Kyle Stringfellow, of Carlsbad, Calif.; and granddaughter, Madison Stringfellow, of Carlsbad, Calif.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach.

Celebration of his life will be 11 a.m. on Aug. 5, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with Reverend John M. Kerry of Asbury United Methodist Church officiating.

‘Tragic, sudden loss,’ – Memorials emerge for teen killed in ATV crash

With the sudden death of Sebastian River High School student Jake Beecher still fresh, family, friends, teammates and coaches continue to come to terms with the tragic crash that took his life.
