Stanley Wayne Underwood, 89, died June 17, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Gary, Ind., and lived in Vero Beach since 1983, coming from Portage, Ind. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II.
He was an electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 697; the Veterans of Foreign Wars; the American Legion; and the 40 and 8 Society of the American Legion in Indiana. He was a member of three bowling leagues.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Underwood; and son, Wayne Ray Underwood both of Vero Beach; daughter, Jacqueline Servaty of Portage, Ind.; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Annabel Underwood; brothers, Kenneth, Basil, and William Underwood; and grandson, David Servaty.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. June 23 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with a funeral service at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Tom Harris of the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach officiating.
