VERO BEACH — On Wednesday, June 30, at 5:30 p.m. the Indian River County Best Places to Work program will kickoff at Marine Bank & Trust located at 571 Beachland Boulevard in Vero Beach.
“The kickoff event is an opportunity to highlight the benefits of the program and to showcase previous winners and participants,” Indian River County Branch Manager of Workforce Solutions Marcelo Dossantos said. “It’s also a great opportunity to network with local dignitaries, past participants and winners. Wine, beverages and light hors d’oeuvres sponsored by our host, Marine Bank & Trust, will be served.”
Workforce Solutions in partnership with the Indian River Chamber of Commerce, The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce and The Treasure Coast HR Association present the 2010 Indian River County Best Places to Work Program.
Last year’s winners for the category of 50 employees and under were Legler Orthodontics, Whitehall Services, Inc., Orthopedic Center of Vero Beach, and Diabetes & Endocrine Associates. In the category of Over 50 employees the winners were Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach Police Department, VNA of the Treasure Coast and Seacoast National Bank.
The Best Places to Work is a national program that was developed to provide a confidential forum for local employers to participate in an evaluation of various local workplace best practices and programs. It provides an opportunity for employers to compare themselves to others of a similar size and serves as a valuable tool for business and human resource planning. The companies identified as Best Places to Work will be honored at a prestigious awards luncheon on Thursday, October 14 at Pointe West.
The program is sponsored this year by CVS Pharmacy Distribution Center, Orthopedic Center of Vero Beach, VNA of the Treasure Coast, Florida Power & Light, Seacoast National Bank and LF Staffing.
