Jack Murray, 78, died May 26, 2010 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Mayodan, N.C. and lived in Vero Beach for 53 years coming from his birthplace. Mr. Murray was the owner and operator of Jack Murray Construction Consultant, Inc.
He was a charter member of the Asbury United Methodist Church of Vero Beach, a longtime sponsor of the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches and a member of the Association of General Contractors.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Fannie Murray of Vero Beach; daughters, Maribeth Stough (Terry) of Vero Beach, Nancy DeMarco of Avon Park and Tabi Johnston (Lon) of Vero Beach; sisters, Pauline Bryant of Greensboro, N.C. and Helen Martin of Madison, N.C.; granddaughters, Melissa (David) Albright of Strasburg, Pa., Katherine (Tim) Wolf of Vero Beach and Stacey (Chad) Westerberg of Woodstock, Ga., and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miller and Ila Murray and a sister, Mildred Stallings of Burlington, N.C.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Strunk Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. at the Strunk Funeral Home Chapel.
