Antoinette M. Grillo 82, a resident of Vero Beach since 1985, died April 15, 2010, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born Dec. 21, 1927 in Hartford, Conn., and lived most of her adult life in West Hartford.
She attended Bulkeley High School in Hartford, received an Associate degree from Hartford College for Women, and then completed technical training at Hartford Hospital.
She worked as a nuclear medicine technician at Hartford Hospital, retiring in 1985.
She served as a volunteer for 5 years at Thompson Elementary.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert A. Grillo, 3 sons, Paul Grillo (Heidi) of Avon, Conn., Robert A. Grillo, Jr., MD (Susan) of Essex, Conn., and Kenneth Grillo (Joan) of Burlington, Vt.,; 9 grandchildren: Caroline, Emily, Nicole, Alisa, Evan, Anna, Julia, Andrea & Toby and 4 great-grandchildren: Alex, Maya, Lucy & Marin.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April, 20th at Community Church Chapel, 1901 23rd St., Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960, in memory of Mrs. Grillo.
