Elizabeth Weed Talley, 91, died Jan. 28, 2010, at Harbor Chase of Vero Beach.
She was born in Oakland, Calif., and lived in Vero Beach for 38 years, coming from San Francisco. She attended Marin College in California and the University of California-Berkeley.
She worked for the American Red Cross in England and in Germany during World War II and volunteered in the Army Hostess Program of Japan. She was of the Christian faith. She volunteered at VNA Hidden Treasures and for the Pink Ladies at Indian River Medical Center.
She was a member of the Garden Club of Indian River County and Vero Beach Country Club.
Survivors include her stepson, James Talley Jr. of Pasadena, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Talley; and brother, Mortimer Weed.
