Julian Lavon Davis, 69, Vero Beach

Julian Lavon Davis, 69, of Vero Beach, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at VNA Hospice House. He was born Dec. 20, 1941, in Johnston, S.C., and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1958, coming from his birthplace. Lavon owned and operated JL Davis Mowing and Grading. He was a member of the Vero Beach Masonic Lodge 250 F&AM and was a 32nd degree mason. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Louise Davis, of Vero Beach; two daughters, Jodi Velde, of Vero Beach and Jill Davis, of Vero Beach; sister, Ann Miller, of Jacksonville; brother, Avery Davis, of Atlanta, Ga.; and two grandchildren. Irene A. Hedden, 86, died June 10, 2011, at VNA Hospice House. She was born in North Dartmouth, Mass., and lived in Sebastian for 17 years, coming from Pompano Beach. Before retirement, she was a printer in the printing industry. She received her GED from Sebastian River High School at age 70. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Willam R. Hedden Jr., of Sebastian; daughter, Jane Emily Manturi, of Bethlehem, Pa.; sister, Evelyn McQuilkin, of New Bedford, Mass; and a grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert, Joseph and Manuel Rebello; and sister, Alice.
