Goodwin D. Katzen, 87, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Sunday, Oct. 25 at HarborChase of Vero Beach. He was born May 26, 1922 in New Brunswick, N.J. and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1989 coming from New City, N.Y. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Air Corps. Mr. Katzen retired as the Executive Director of the Jawonio, Inc. an organization serving individuals with disabilities in New City. He was a member of the New City Rotary Club of New City, N.Y. where he was a Paul Harris Fellow and past president. Mr. Katzen was a member of Temple Beth Shalom, Vero Beach. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Katzen of Vero Beach; daughter, Judy Katzen of Tuckahoe, N.Y., 2 sons, David Katzen of Tuckahoe, N.Y. andRick Katzen of Blauvelt, N.Y. and 2 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Jawonio, Inc., 260 N. Little Tor Road, New City, N.Y. 10956 in memory of Mr. Katzen.
