VERO BEACH – A national magazine aimed at retirees has picked Vero Beach as one of the top places to settle for those entering their golden years.
In the November-December issue of Where to Retire magazine, editors selected Vero Beach based on its beaches, multiple golf courses, boating options and thriving arts scene. “Vero Beach combines a relaxed ambience and sophisticated flair that many find appealing,” according to a press release put out by the magazine.
Colorado Springs, Colo.; Dahlonega, Ga.; and Sandpoint, Idaho, where also listed in the article as top retirement destinations.
Where to Retire magazine is published six times a year, the current issue was mailed out to its 220,000 subscribers on Oct. 1.
