The Great Bike-Bar-A-Thon Rides Again For The Indian River Lagoon!
September 29, 2018 @ 12:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Air up your tires, oil up your chains, and tighten your helmet strap! The Marine Resources Council (MRC) once again teams with the Great Bike-Bar-A-Thon Charity Bicycle Pub Crawl group to raise awareness and funds to save the Indian River Lagoon, Saturday, September 29, 2018!
This is the Bicycle group’s 6th ride and their second collaboration with MRC. Their last ride raised over $3,000. The group hopes to attract over 100 riders and raise over $4,000 to benefit MRC’s effort to protect and improve the water quality of our cherished lagoon.
Pub Crawl participating venues include Sebastian’s most popular destinations such as, Pareidolia Brewing Co. (12:30 p.m. for check in and shirt pickup), Mash Monkeys Brewery Co. (1:40 p.m.), Capt’n Butcher’s Grille, Bar & Marina (2:25 p.m.), Capt. Hiram’s Resort (3:10 p.m.), Crab Stop of Sebastian (4:00 p.m.), Earl’s Hideaway Lounge and Tiki Bar (4:45 p.m.), Pelican Pub (5:30 p.m.), and the Tiki Bar & Grill (6:15 p.m.).
MRC Executive Director Dr. Leesa Souto will be on the crawl to discuss all your lagoon questions and concerns. The event is free to participate. Funds for the charity are raised through event shirt sales.
Event shirts are $25, and you don’t want to be the only one on the ride without a shirt. All participants need to register for their shirt by September 8. Shirts are only available by preorder and are not available for sale the day of the event.
If you do not wish to purchase a shirt we ask that you make a donation while you are along for the ride, every little bit helps. Proceeds from the event go to the Marine Resources Council’s efforts to save the Indian River Lagoon.
