Janet Porter Stagg, 76, Vero Beach
Janet Porter Stagg, 76, of Vero Beach, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 4, 2018, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. Janet was born Dec. 15, 1941 in Queens, N.Y., to the late Frank and Eleanor Porter.
She was a graduate of Endicott Community College and attended the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach.
She was a beloved homemaker, wife, and mother. Janet frequently spent her time playing bridge which brought her a number of new friends while enjoying a game she loved.
She was especially fond of her time spent cooking for family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Huyler Stagg; son, Brian (Dawn) Stagg, of Vero Beach; granddaughter, Victoria Stagg; and grandson, James Stagg.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jodi Johnson; brother, Richard Porter; and sister, Barbara Wilson.

A memorial service celebrating her life will take place at a later date.
