December 15, 1931 ~ October 02, 2025
Bertha Sharp, 93, of Vero Beach, Florida, went to be with her Savior on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Born and raised in Canoochee, Georgia, Bertha started her family in Atlanta before moving to Vero Beach in 1964, when she and her husband acquired the WAXE AM radio station.
A dedicated homemaker early in life, Bertha later worked as a secretary in Atlanta. In Vero Beach, she served as a paralegal at the firms of Gould, Cooksey, Fennell, Appleby, and McKinnon; McKinnon and Stewart; and finally, The Law Offices of Robert Jackson, from which she retired.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Vero Beach, where she taught Sunday School and served as a deacon, touching countless lives with her faith and kindness.

Highlights included trips to Mexico, the Holy Land, New York City, and the western U.S.—from the majestic Grand Canyon to the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona. Yet, her heart always drew her back to the serene mountains of north Georgia and North Carolina, where she found her greatest peace.
