Indian River County, FL – The Board of County Commissioners is proud to announce a major transformation is underway at Sandridge Golf Club and a Groundbreaking Ceremony is planned to mark this momentous milestone. Construction will begin soon on a 22,000-square-foot clubhouse and event space designed to elevate the guest experience and support growing demand for high-quality amenities.
“Sandridge is already ranked in the top 15 of all golf courses statewide,” said Michael Zito, Deputy County Administrator. This new facility will take the County’s public golf club to new heights, added Zito.
The projected total investment of $13 million includes a full-service restaurant and bar with seating for 80 guests indoors and 60 outdoors. A commercial kitchen will support both daily operations and large-scale events.
A standout feature of the new development is a 200-person banquet facility that can be subdivided into two 100-person rooms, offering flexibility for private events, weddings, and corporate functions. A dedicated catering kitchen will service banquet operations separately from the main restaurant.
To complement the indoor offerings, the venue will also include a beautifully landscaped event lawn capable of hosting up to 250 guests—ideal for outdoor ceremonies and celebrations.
The current paved parking lot will be expanded from 85 to 204 spaces to accommodate the increased volume of guests. The golf cart staging area will also be relocated to improve efficiency, taking the place of the current clubhouse footprint.

The $11.2 million construction contract was awarded to Quest Contracting LLC of West Palm Beach, with an additional $1.8 million allocated for furnishings, fixtures, and kitchen equipment. Completion is anticipated by September 2026.
