Vero Beach, FL – December 2024 – Hanukkah, the eight-night Festival of Lights, begins at sundown on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and Chabad of Vero Beach invites the entire community to join in the celebrations. Two free events promise light, joy, and fun for all ages, spreading the timeless message of Hanukkah throughout Vero Beach.

A community Hanukkah party will follow, filled with music, food, and celebration.

Celebrate Hanukkah with family fun at BigShots Golf! Enjoy traditional Hanukkah food, music, exciting kids’ activities, and a chance to play golf (RSVP required for golfing spots).
These events are part of the worldwide Hanukkah campaign, an initiative launched by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, in 1973. The campaign emphasizes the central theme of the holiday — publicizing the story of the Hanukkah miracle.
“The message of Hanukkah is the message of light,” said Rabbi Rosenfeld. “The nature of light is that it is always victorious over darkness. A small amount of light dispels a lot of darkness. Another act of goodness and kindness, another act of light, can make all the difference.”
Today, public menorah displays have become a global tradition, with more than 15,000 large menorahs sponsored by Chabad in over 100 countries, including in front of landmarks like the White House, the Eiffel Tower, and the Kremlin. Vero Beach’s menorah joins this worldwide effort, helping children and adults of all walks of life discover and celebrate Hanukkah’s timeless message.
