The home at 1632 Weybridge Circle in River Club at Carlton “lives like a house but is actually an attached villa,” explains Berkshire Hathaway realtor Debbie Bell, noting the shared driveway.

The concrete-block home is solidly built, and with impact windows, it’s “lock and leave. The lowest-priced product in the River Club, it offers quite a lot,” adds Bell, who is offering the home for $1,189,000 with co-listing agent Chip Landers.

The couple who owns the home liked Florida and had friends living in Vero Beach when they sought a second home. The River Club offered them the security and amenities they wanted.

“They loved the setup in here. It worked for them,” says Bell.

Many second homes don’t feature a formal dining area, notes Landers as he points out the flexibility of having one for large family gatherings over the holidays or when everyone decides to visit Florida during the same week for a vacation.

“They had a lot of company,” says Bell, adding that the community’s riverside guest suites were a significant asset to the couple.

The River Club at Carlton encompasses 120 acres of preserves, including a 14-acre lake nestled among oak hammocks. Situated in natural environs, members can access two clubhouses with full kitchens, two pools, two fitness centers and tennis courts. The riverside clubhouse offers suites members can reserve for guests.

The River Club has a launch area for kayaks and canoes, and the community has easy access to a public beach to the east and the Historic Jungle Trail to the west for those who enjoy walking, biking and running immersed in a beautiful natural setting.

“The amenities are there if you want. If you don’t, you can just enjoy yourself here and then use the public beach access,” says Landers.

The guard-gated community is conveniently located within the town of Indian River Shores, just a 10-minute drive from Vero’s famous island village with its many restaurants, boutiques and resorts, as well as the Vero Beach Museum of Art, the Riverside Theatre and Riverside Park.
