Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach hosts the 3rd Annual “Can Castle for a Cause Building Challenge” on November 21st at the Indian River Mall in the food court. Set up time is 3:15-5:15 with the Challenge starting promptly at 5:30.
A competition where teams will build magnificent “castles” using only canned goods as building materials! All cans used will be donated to the Food Bank and more. Challenge Parameters:
- Floor Size: 10ft. X 10ft.
- Maximum Height: 6ft.
- Time Limit: 20 minutes to build
- Team Size: 4-10 members
- Judging Criteria: Creativity, Teamwork, Volume of cans used
Important Information:
- Only canned goods can be used for construction.
- No additional supplies allowed except those provided at the event by the event staff
- Signage outside the building space is allowed but will not be judged.
- Closed-toe shoes, gloves and safety glasses are recommended.
- At least one team member must be 21 years old.
- All teams must sign a photo release and hold harmless form (part of the registration form).
