Anthony Zorbaugh, Executive Director of The Source, Receives National Recognition

On behalf of the Board of Directors of The Source, President Bobby Lindsey is proud to announce a prominent national recognition from the Business Executives for National Security made to The Source’s Executive Director, Anthony Zorbaugh.

Business Executives for National Security (BENS) is a unique nonpartisan nonprofit organization comprised of senior business and industry executives who apply best business practices to address the nation’s pressing security challenges. Annually, the organization presents the “Eisenhower Celebration” (named for the nation’s 34th President Dwight Eisenhower) which honors national public servants and private citizens making remarkable contributions to the national security enterprise. This year the celebration was held virtually on April 21st.The national honorees included Dr. Anthony FauciDirector, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID); Alex Gorsky, Chairman and CEO-Johnson & Johnson and General Gustave Perna, USA,Chief Operating Officer-Operation Warp Speed.

 Included in the recognition of fifteen local “community heroes” country-wide who excelled during the country’s recent time of crisis was Anthony Zorbaugh, who was honored for his achievements on behalf of the homeless and needy individuals in Indian River County. Other local leaders recognized included those from Washington State, New Jersey, Maryland and New York, as well as others who, like Zorbaugh, shared inspiring stories of contributions they made to their communities that made a difference.

Information about Zorbaugh and The Source, as well as a variety of photos that included The Dignity Bus (featuring Zorbaugh and County Commissioner Laura Moss) was profiled during the broadcast. They were named as a role model in filling community needs during the pandemic year. According to the organizers of the annual event, “they wanted to ‘shine a light’ on a sampling of the thousands of Americans who responded to the challenges of the pandemic by working in their own communities to make life a little bit better for their fellow citizens.”
