(Vero Beach, FL) Riverside Theatre for Kids announces its class schedule for Spring 2021. Kevin Quillinan, Director of Theatre Education, will be leading an all virtual slate of classes that start on March 29 and run through May 19, 2021.
“We are thrilled once again be able to offer top notch theatre instruction to our amazing students,” says Mr. Quillinan. “It has been a year of challenges, but these classes still allow our talented young performers opportunities to grow and experience the magic of theater.”
Riverside Theatre for Kids’ theatre and music classes are designed to offer performance opportunities, while building skills for life and introducing young people to an appreciation of all areas of theatre.
Classes are structured to explore various topics and forms of theatrical expressions under the guidance of trained and encouraging educators within a safe and supportive environment.
“Theatre education is not just about putting on shows,” says Mr. Quillinan. “There are so many more benefits than just performing. These classes build up confidence and self-esteem and interacting with others. Theatre teaches empathy and, if we do it right, helps create a more compassionate society. And, with classes being virtual, students can be in any part of the world and still have a rewarding experience.”
Because of the virtual component of the classes, capacity is limited to only 20 students.
Theatre Classes begin March 29th and run for 8 weeks through May 19th.
